Nick started his journey at Luthin Associates in January 2019 as part of the Energy and Sustainability Services Department. In this role, Nick evaluated energy efficiency alternatives and prepared Gross Receipt Tax (GRT) refunds for non-profits, securing millions of dollars in refunds in only a few short years. Additionally, he supported our clients and internal team with New York Local Law compliance, bill analysis, and client reporting. After 5 acquired Luthin Associates, Nick’s role expanded, as did his impact.
Nick is now our Pit Crew Unicorn, where he is a jack of all trades. His main role is being a TJ (Transaction Jackson), where he assists with pricing, contracts, and customer service. His passion for helping others pushes him to be involved in many duties and process improvements at 5; Nick is always looking for ways to make internal processes easier, whether that be through automation or putting a different lens on how we approach certain tasks.
Nick graduated from Saint Peter’s University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Science. He then attended Montclair State University and earned his Master of Science degree in Sustainability Science. During his time at 5, Nick also received an Energy Efficiency Practitioner (EEP) Certification from the Association of Energy Engineers.
Nick's Why 5: "My top 3 reasons are Feeling Valued & Trusted, Culture, and People. Essentially, all the things we intentionally do to make ourselves, our workplace, and those around us better people. I get to utilize my skills while simultaneously improving and learning new ones. There is no other place where I can thrive like I do at 5."
