Chris Watson joined 5 in 2012 and serves as a Senior Energy Advisor. Chris embodies 5’s unique team-based approach to service delivering best-in-class solutions for a multitude of clients, including many cities, counties, school districts, hospitals, and water utility districts.
In his role as an advisor, Chris helps clients develop a proactive strategy that is focused on a wide array of topics including procurement, operational improvements, renewables, sustainability, distributed generation, and more to control and reduce energy costs over time.
Chris received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and is actively engaged in several non-profit organizations that benefit children and public education.
Chris’ Why: “Every time we help a school save money on their energy costs, I see that savings as a teacher’s salary or a new educational tool that will benefit kids. By helping a school district – or a city or a water district – I know I’m making a real impact, in addition to helping our clients be even more accountable to the taxpayers who support them.”
