Brian Hayduk

Growth and innovation are defining hallmarks of Brian Hayduk’s career in the energy industry. He has extensive experience in corporate strategy, business development, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management, and the development of deregulated energy businesses throughout North America.

Having worked on the supplier side of the deregulated electricity market since the late 1990s, Brian has unmatched industry knowledge. In 2011, he co-founded 5 and assembled a team of energy market innovators, engineers, commodity traders, technologists, and business development professionals joined by a common purpose - to deliver unparalleled energy advice that results in cutting-edge solutions for clients.

As Chief Executive Officer at 5, Brian focuses on strategy, financing, acquisitions, partnerships, and most importantly, on delivering exceptional value to clients. He guides the company’s strategic vision in collaboration with the team and, together, they are committed to setting a new standard in the deregulated energy industry.

Prior to launching 5, Brian served as President of First Choice Power which he led to record growth, profits, and a successful sale during his tenure. Before that, he served as co-founder and President of Juice Energy, a renewable energy-focused retail electric provider. Brian also previously served as Senior Vice President at Constellation NewEnergy, helping the multi-billion-dollar company achieve record growth while providing best-in-class service to Fortune 100 companies.

Brian has a master’s degree in Environmental Science from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lehigh University. He is deeply involved as a volunteer with the Children’s Advocacy Center in Denton, which provides justice and healing to sexually abused children. Brian has also been a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) for many years.

Our impact makes it feel truly meaningful to be part of this team.

Fun Fact: Brian is the only Founding 5er who can claim pizza making and fishing boat mate on his resume.
