Irving, TX - May 16, 2019
Inc. Magazine has named Irving-based energy advisory firm 5 to its prestigious list of “Best Workplaces” in America for the third straight year. The annual, highly competitive list recognizes the top companies that have “created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits.”
“We are once again humbled by this recognition from Inc. Magazine, which celebrates the intrinsic value of the culture we have developed at 5,” said Jeff Schiefelbein, Chief Culture Officer and co-founding partner. “As Inc. noted, we have gone to extraordinary lengths to attract, develop and retain the right people, who collectively are the driving force behind our significant growth and our positive impact on clients.”
According to Inc., the top scores came from companies that “prioritize the most human elements of work, leading the way in employee recognition, performance management, and diversity.” Inc. analyzed nearly 2,000 companies by surveying employees on topics of trust, management effectiveness, perks, and confidence in the future. To qualify, companies had to be U.S.-based, privately held and independent, and have a full-time employee count ranging between 10 and 500.
In addition to Inc. Magazine, 5 has been recognized by Fortune as a top workplace in Texas twice, and by Texas Monthly on its “Best Companies to Work for in Texas” list four times (2019, 2018, 2017, and 2016). The firm also made Inc.’s list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., the Inc. 5000, in 2018, 2017 and 2016. Also, Entrepreneur named 5 to its “Most Entrepreneurial Companies in America” list in 2019 and 2018, highlighting the 360 small businesses each year that are mastering the art and science of growing a business.
