Sandeep Gupta brings more than two decades of experience in the energy industry and leads all technology initiatives at 5 as Chief Technology Officer. He oversees the development and evolution of the Level5 platform and is responsible for how 5 leverages data and AI to deliver better experiences for customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Sandeep works closely with stakeholders across the company to ensure technology efforts are aligned, thoughtful, and focused on delivering best-in-class outcomes.
Sandeep earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. He also holds a master’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in India.
He joined 5 because of a long-standing passion for energy and a strong connection to the company’s mission to help people with their energy needs. Throughout the interview process, it became clear to him that 5’s culture is its greatest strength, which played a major role in his decision to join the team.
Fun Fact: Sandeep loves music and enjoys everything from Indian and Western classical to classic rock and Taylor Swift.
