5 Launches New Platform to Help Customers Improve Energy Management

5 Launches New Platform

Irving, TX - May 23, 2012

“We started 5 because it’s absolutely the best platform from which to help people”, said Brian Hayduk, the President and a partner. “My partners and I have spent our entire time in the industry on the supplier side and it always felt like we were trying to help customers with one arm tied behind our back.” The partners decided to take their expertise that spans every aspect of the retail industry and truly bring it to the customer’s side of the table. The 5 team is comprised of former industry executives including the CEO, Presidents, COO, and Board Member for large retailers and Board Member of the Commodity Exchange and NYMEX.

The business officially launched throughout Texas earlier this year and has surpassed 100 clients in less than three months. “Unlike traditional electric “consultants/brokers” who you never hear from again, the 5 Team brings an entire energy management perspective to our city. They are experts in the nuances of the market, took the time to understand our needs and will stay engaged throughout the relationship by helping us track our energy costs and plan for growth” said Marie Garland, the City Administrator for the City of Meridian.

5’s goal is to blend technology with a wealth of supplier and commodity market expertise in order for its Energy Advisors to deliver superior products and energy cost management to clients. 5 has developed extensive back-office automation to support its Energy Advisors and a proprietary modeling system to assist clients with their energy strategy.

“It sounds funny but our Energy Advisors aren’t salespeople, they are caring individuals that simply want to help people and deliver on what they say”, said Jeff Schiefelbein, another partner and officer of 5. “Solid execution and delivery of cutting edge information to people in the field is still an area for great improvement in this industry and we intend to fill that void.”

5 expects to continue adding additional Energy Advisors and developing its Texas business over the next several months before expanding into additional markets.
