Jay Bennett

After an initial career in banking and corporate finance, Jay Bennett found his way into the deregulated energy industry shortly after the Texas market opened. He learned the ropes as an Account Executive for Direct Energy before transitioning to the consulting side of the industry to work with Pro-Star Energy.

Jay has always loved working to serve a client's best interests and he found that the team and technology at 5 were second-to-none when it comes to providing meaningful results. Jay meets clients where they are and then educates them using our team-based approach, our transparent process, and our industry-leading technology, Level5. With Jay leading the way, the 5 team creates and manages customized solutions for clients that include procurement, demand-side management, sustainability, and resiliency.

Jay has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Finance from Texas Tech University and a Graduate Degree in Banking from the LSU School of Banking. He lives in Houston, Texas with his wife and volunteers for various Catholic ministries and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
